This is very much in the half Nuits/half Vosne model of a classic Boudots where the Vosne spice shows up on the ripe nose and the Nuits character shows up on the muscled flavors. But here the tannins are relatively refined and not really all that rustic; indeed the mouth feel is a good deal more sophisticated than the Vaucrains. I very much like this as it's powerful, concentrated, balanced and beautifully persistent. Comments: Outstanding Issue 46
