The 2010 Bourgogne (tasted from tank) is a ridiculously great wine for the money. It boasts tremendous depth and richness at this level, with gorgeous mid-palate pliancy and striking inner perfume. The Bourgogne is made from an assortment of village and 1er Cru parcels mostly in Volnay (85%), with a touch of Santenay (15%) that are too small to be bottled on their own. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.
88 points:A deeply pitched nose features ripe dark berry fruit and plenty of earth influence that extends to the brooding, concentrated and serious medium-bodied flavors that are round, long and well-balanced. Despite the somber demeanor, this should drink well after only a few years of bottle age. I should also point out that this easily delivers villages level quality. Comments: Outstanding Top value
