2009 Lewis - Alec's Blend Napa Valley
Randy Lewis was a professional race car driver for 23 years. While competing in Europe he fell in love with local wines and lifestyles and decided to embark on a second career in the wine business. In 1992 Randy, along with his wife Debbie, established Lewis Cellars in California's Napa Valley. In 1999 they were joined by their son Dennis. Today, Lewis Cellars is still a small family run winery dedicated to producing world-class wines. For the Lewis Cellars 'Alec's Blend' Red Wine, winemaker Brian Mox blends together 70% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot to produce a wine loaded with wild blackberries and laced with mocha, cola, and vanilla oak spice. Super-smooth, the wine is plush and round with just enough chocolatey tannins to keep the whole thing on the road to a winning finish.
