El Jimador Tequila is named for the "Jimadors," the master harvesters of the agave plants. El Jimador is made by the distinguished Casa Herradura using 100% Blue Weber agave plants harvested in Amatitán, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. The piñas from the agave are steamed in brick and stone ovens for 24 hours before being crushed to extract the juice called "mosto." The mosto is fermented and then twice distilled. El Jimador Añejo is then aged for 12 months in toasted white oak barrels. Traditionally El Jimador Añejo is enjoyed straight up or over ice. 80 Proof.
