91 points The Wine Advocate:The 2010 Malbec was sourced from three vineyards, two of which are 66 and 86 years of age, with the wine aged for 9 months in French oak. It is a super-fragrant offering featuring racy red fruits, spice box, incense, and floral notes. Pure, sweetly-fruited, and elegant in the glass, this intense, lengthy Malbec can be approached now and over the next 6-8 years. Jay Miller

97 points The Wine Advocate-The 2007 Argentino Malbec is a blend of the Nicasia and Adrianna cuvees. Since I have been tasting the Catena wines, this has generally been my preference because it seems to have an extra dimension of complexity. So it is with the 2007 vintage. The Argentino offers a similar aromatic and flavor profile, but with just a bit of extra nuance. It will be most enjoyable to taste these 3 wines side-by-side in another 10 years (or, to be truthful, at any time).  Jay Miller

The vines of Château du Cèdre root in two different types of soil: The terroirs, composed of stony clay and limestone, give straight wines with fine tannins, whereas more powerful and dense wines derive from soils composed of clay, sand and rich in pebble. A very good vintage in Cahors, with a beautiful late summer and excellent weather conditions during harvest. Beautiful intense purple red colour. The nose is pure and shows aromas of flowers (violet), red berries and spices. Well balanced and full bodied on the palate, lively acidity, silky tannins and very long aromatic persistence.
