Chardonnay

92 points The Wine Advocate-Anoro's 2009 Chardonnay spent 9 months in 70% French oak and 30% in stainless steel before bottling without filtration. The nose reveals a touch of oak, mineral, poached pear, white peach, and a hint of tropical aromas. Medium- to full-bodied on the palate, it is a harmonious effort with good integration of the oak and acid. Spice notes and round, savory flavors coat the palate leading to a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. At the asking price, it is a super-value in Chardonnay for drinking over the next 5 years. 93-95 points Burghound:A fresh, ripe, elegant and quite floral nose also evidences hints of green apple, pear and mildly exotic yellow fruit aromas that are trimmed in discreet wood toast. The rich, full-bodied and mouth coating broad-shouldered flavors possess excellent concentration and power and finally culminate in an explosive and fantastically long if somewhat chewy finish. This is perhaps a bit less elegant than it usually is but I suspect that as the underlying material, which is exceptionally dense, resolves that it will become more refined with age. Impressive. 88-91 points Burghound-A hint of tropicality adds interest to the citrus zest and rose petal suffused nose that is followed by rich, round and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess a succulent, even juicy mouth feel on the solidly persistent finish. This is easy to like yet entirely serious.

The Chaumées is the sexiest, most seductive wine of the bunch. It is fleshier and more robust than Bruno’s other premier crus. The lip smacking, youthful fruit and concentrated of wet stones last and last on the palate.  Kermit Lynch Importer
