89 points The Wine Advocate-Michel Tete’s 2009 Julienas - the "regular" bottling that he refers to (but not on its label) as "Tradition" - is scented with almond extract, ripe red raspberry and cherry. With a peach-like sweet ripeness as well as red fruits on the palate, along with blond tobacco and toasted pecan, it finishes impressively persistently with a slightly stewed richness and faintly grainy tannins.
