Here the fruit shows slightly more burnished tones, along with greater textural richness and weight, all while retaining surprising verve and cut. This is another strong version of one of the region’s most consistently delicious Roses. The blend is 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir (including 12% still Pinot), 60% 2007 and 40% 2006 reserve wine, all from vineyards in Bouzy. Dosage was 9 grams per liter. The Brut Grand Cru Carte d'Or is 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, vintages 2005 (60%) and 2004 (40%) from southeast facing vineyards in Bouzy with an average age of 25 years.
