95+ Points The Wine Advocate:  The 2006 Eloge’s dark plum/ruby color is followed by a sweet kiss of plum, black cherry, earth, licorice, and spice box, a medium to full-bodied wine, abundant tannin, and impressive concentration, purity, and overall complexity. Reasonably evolved, and extremely seductive aromatically, with a slightly structured finish, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 15 years. It is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, and 3% Merlot.  Robert Parker

We've been buying wines made from the Eisele Vineyard since it was in the hands of Joseph Phelps winery. The current stewards of this remarkable 38-acre site have adopted organic and biodynamic farming practices and continue to produce some of the most vivid expressions of terroir that Napa has to offer. Beautiful loamy soil and dried sweet herb notes frame the elegant red currant and dark cherry fruit, while fine dusty tannins support these flavors clear through the finish.
